The Essentials for Traveling with Toddlers and Babies

Get ready to make traveling a breeze with kids AND keep it all compact!

Great for those toddlers who can hold onto a strap and have good balance as you rush through the airport. Beware, sharp turns the box tips over. It makes a great box to store toys and not take up mom and dad’s wardrobe space in their suitcases. Fits under airplane seats. We didn’t find it necessary to purchase the backpack and bed for airplane seat. But the cloud sleeper (sold separately) is a compact toddler bed that can be used as a safe alternative for toddlers that are in between the crib and bed stage.

No need to travel with those heavy car seat bases for your pumpkin seats or rent a crusty one! This is an all-in-one stroller and car seat that even fits on the airplane seats. The only con is the weight with awkward lifting to place into a truck or SUV. One of our splurges we wished we had purchased for our first kid.

This GB Pockit City Stroller fits in the airplane’s overhead bins, your suitcase, and small car spaces. It’s the perfect second stroller for traveling especially with a baby and toddler or more than one child. I love how quick it is to pop open and fold when rushing through security.

Munchkin Brica Baby Travel bassinet is great for infants up to 4 months or right before they start rolling over. We used this for those naps poolside and on the beach so we didn’t have to be inside all the time for naps.

Inclusive Design for Everyday Comfort

Transform your home into a haven of convenience for both your guests and tenants! Elevate accessibility without compromising on style!

Elevate your bathroom experience with one of our most sought-after and functional products! It provides that extra boost you need to effortlessly rise from the toilet, all while adding a touch of style to your space.

Grab bars have evolved! With a wide range of finishes and styles available, you can now customize your look to perfection. For the ultimate safety and convenience, we strongly suggest adding a vertical grab bar for entering/exiting and a horizontal bar along the long wall for that extra stability whenever you need it.

Simplify your life with this amazing rubber threshold ramp! It’s the perfect solution for doorways or steps up to 4 inches in rise. Say goodbye to the struggle of dealing with those 1.5 inch thresholds that can be a real hassle for wheeled devices like wheelchairs, strollers, wagons, suitcases, and more. Treat yourself and others to the gift of effortless entrances for movers, guests, and your future self! Note: measure the height of the threshold before purchase. Most thresholds can be cut to fit doorways under 36.”

While this is standard in European countries, the bidets are becoming the norm in the U.S. It’s packed with a plethora of health benefits. This innovation gives the gift of independence for those with limited upper body movement and comfort for mamas in their postpartum period. Just make sure you have a GFCI outlet near the toilet and know what type of toilet you have before buying (elongated or round seat).

Functional and Practical for the Home

Effortless methods to streamline life at home, ranging from enhancing safety to maintaining tidiness.

This makes an amazing gift for ANYone! Great for hallways, kitchens, stairways, and bathrooms. All the places that could use some light in the dark for a little extra safety as these are motion sensor and turn on at night.

Smart lights are totally in! They make life so much easier, safer, and much more convenient especially if light switches and controls are in hard-to-reach places. You can use a remote switch to put wherever it’s most handy, without breaking out the toolbox. You can get a hub to connect all your devices, either as a kit or separately, and control everything through an app. They have several products to pick from, like connecting with lamps, ceiling lights, or fans. Lutron has awesome customer service and lots of helpful info online to help you pick the perfect setup for your home.

Brighten up your pathways effortlessly! No need to call an electrician – these lights run on solar power and are a breeze to install by staking them into the ground. Not only will they elevate the look of your home or rental property, but they will also ensure a safe and well-lit path for you and your guests to walk along. Let the light guide your way!

An amazing gift for everyone! It’s so versatile and perfect for all ages. This incredible cart in our house has been used as a “code brown cart” (diaper cart), a breastfeeding cart, for storing books, and so much more. Its mobility adds a practical touch, making it a must-have for kids’ toys, moms on the go, and even college students looking to stay organized.

Let me tell you about this amazing compact and lightweight vacuum! It magically found its way into my Amazon cart after just one use at an Airbnb in Maui. It was a game-changer for keeping those pesky crumbs away from bugs and pests! I’ve been raving about it to every host at every rental we visit because, let’s face it, with two boys who are always making a mess when they eat, this little gem has become my lifesaver! Trust me, this is THE ultimate gift for anyone who loves to keep things neat and tidy!

Check out this awesome vacuum for your home! It’s super easy to use and lightweight, making it perfect for a quick clean on both hardwood and carpeted floors. Plus, it’s a great investment because it helps reduce dust in the air when you empty the container. You’ve got a few options to choose from at different price points. The one we got is a bit fancier – it comes with a cool all-in-one cleaning docking station that charges while it’s docked. There are other models too, like the wall-mounted charging station and a separate cleaning station. We initially got a refurbished wall-mounted one, but ended up getting another for our main floor because we loved the convenience and health benefits so much!

Meet the Blogger

Hi, I’m Tiffany Dill!

As a mom with profound hearing loss, I know firsthand the beauty and chaos of navigating life with young kids, extended family, and all the little surprises along the way. At Blue Day 2, I’m all about creating spaces and experiences that bring joy to families of all ages and abilities. From home designs that work seamlessly for everyone to sharing my favorite picks from my LTK and Amazon shops, I’m here to make life and travel simpler, more accessible, and filled with joy. Stick around for plenty of inspiration, a little less stress, and a whole lot more fun as we embrace life’s perfectly imperfect adventures together!

Let's Get Personal!

Click on the tabs below to learn more fun facts about me. Do we have anything in common?

Tiffany, you've been married to Andrew for over 16 years now. Any special anniversary traditions?

Oh, absolutely! Every year since we got married in September 2008, we’ve worn the exact same clothes we left our wedding reception in. Yup, I'm talking my gold cocktail dress, wedding jewelry shining, and Andrew rocking his wedding suit. We’re not about to let that tradition slide. It’s been 16 years of pure anniversary magic. I guess you could say we’re "stuck" in our wedding day outfits, but in the best way possible!

Completing an Ironman and earning a doctorate in occupational therapy in the same year sounds intense. How did you pull that off?

Intense is one way to put it! But honestly, raising two energetic boys might just be the hardest thing I’ve ever done. The Ironman and doctorate were definitely tough, but mom life? That’s the ultimate endurance race. It’s the one that keeps me—and even Andrew—on our A-game, every single day. I wouldn’t trade it for the world, though. There’s nothing like their opposite personalities and they surprise you with so much joy even in the chaos, and that's where my energy goes—no finish line required.

You’ve set a pretty ambitious goal with playing ‘Sweet By and By’ on the piano. What’s the story there?

Ah, yes! I miss playing the piano. I started playing piano since second grade and even made it to an advanced level through college. But now, my life goal is to master Sweet By and By (again) before I leave earth. It’s definitely a stretch, but that’s the fun part, right? First, though, I need to add a piano in a room I’ve been dreaming of since we built our home. Playing piano was always my outlet. Until then, running is my stress reliever.

Hidden talent alert: You can read lips. How’d you discover that one?

Oh, this one goes way back! When I was four years old, I managed to fool five different audiologists during my hearing tests. It wasn’t until a doctor noticed that I wasn’t repeating what she said when she turned around (back in those days they didn’t cover their lips nor did they have tinted windows in the sound booth)! I had spinal meningitis at 13 months, which nearly took my life and left me in a coma for a week. As a result, I had to start over on a few developmental milestones and missed a lot of early speech and language development. Thanks to years of speech therapy and a knack for lip-reading, I still manage to fool people with my profound hearing loss. It comes in handy when someone wants to know what the ref said on the field or TV, or if I’m in a crowded room and want to eavesdrop—just kidding. Sort of.

On the flip side, what are some things you’re not a fan of?

Confined spaces. Cilantro. Olives. Blue cheese. I could live without all of those. And don’t even get me started on being stuck inside for hours at a time. I'm much more suited to wide-open spaces, the great outdoors, and pretty much anything that involves fresh air.

We all know you’re a planner, but what do you hold closest to your heart?

Sentiments. They’re irreplaceable. There’s something about the things that carry emotional weight—whether it’s a moment or an object—that just can’t be duplicated. I’ve learned to really appreciate the simple, meaningful stuff in life. In fact, our Christmas tree is adorned with over 20 years of ornaments symbolizing memories from a loss of loved ones to trips and even sour times. It’s like finding joy in the simple little things whether they are happy or sad or even bad memories.

You’re a busy mom and entrepreneur, but how do you manage to squeeze in family time?

Time? What’s that? Ha! Honestly, there’s just not enough of it. And the thing is, we can’t get it back. So I prioritize memory-making with my family. That’s my top priority. Whether it’s hiking, running, biking, traveling, or exploring the great outdoors with my boys, I live for those moments. In fact, I devote one day off work a week to be with my little guys and my husband and I carve out a weekly date night.
